The Riviera Maya is a 130km / 80 miles stretch of Caribbean coastline in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico. It is known for its popular vacation spots and expat towns like Playa del Carmen or Tulum, its long white-sand beaches, and its calm, crystal-clear turquoise shoreline.

The Riviera Maya is also part of the Mayaland; within a short distance, you can find the ancient archeological sites of Chichen Itza, Coba, Cozumel, and Tulum. They are proof of the fascinating Maya Culture, that is still very much alive in the entire Riviera Maya.

Along the Riviera Maya you will find several towns and villages each with its own vibes and energy. Not two cities are alike, which is what makes the Riviera Maya so special.

Cancun with its international 4 terminal airport and hotel zone located between the Caribbean Sea and a lagoon with over 100 hotels (mainly all-inclusive) has beautiful beaches and is the most important tourist destination in Mexico hosting millions of guests from all over the world (12,5 million in 2021).

Puerto Morelos is a 2o minute drive from Cancun and is a small beachside village that has kept some of its original fishing village character, shutting down just before midnight.

Playa del Carmen is a cosmopolitan beach town that attracts tourists, expats, digital nomads, and snowbirds alike and has grown out of its hippy village character and has today more than 333,800 residents from all over the world.

Puerto Aventuras is a residential and hotel complex with a marina and is “the capital of nautical live” in the Riviera Maya for more than 30 years.

Akumal is 100 km from Cancun between Playa del Carmen and Tulum and has beautiful bays perfect for snorkeling and relaxing in one of the hotels or villas along the Half Moon Bay,  Akumal Jade Bay or Yal-ku Lagoon.

Tulum is the hottest sport right now in the Riviera Maya and is undergoing drastic changes due to its Real Estate Boom. It is known for its Mayan ruins that overlook the Caribbean Sea, and for its eco-chic vibe
